Every year, around 1,500 travel service companies and destinations exhibit at MITT, Russia’s top international travel and tourism exhibition, to promote their brands to Russia’s top travel professionals.
Many of these companies exhibit under a national or regional stand – a group pavilion presenting all companies from a country or region together.
In 2019, MITT featured 64 group stands from places such as Slovenia, Greece and Thailand, to Georgia, the Maldives and Catalonia.
So why is it a good idea to join a group stand?
Get better onsite visibilityWith all companies from a particular region or country in the same place, visitors know exactly where to go if they are interested in a certain destination. This makes the exhibition far more efficient and valuable for visitors and exhibitors.
Sub-exhibitors at national stands benefit greatly from the visibility the national brand provides, attracting those who may be unaware of what travel services companies are available.
“An individual stand is difficult to promote yourself, so partners looking for a specific region come straight to the stand and find all the companies here.” – Nettravel Azerbaijan
“It’s easier for visitors to find us, and we share the costs and the visibility as a part of Spain. Being under the umbrella of the Spain brand is important to us.” – Valencia Tourism Organisation
Promote your destinationNot only are you promoting your own brand, you’re also helping to promote your country, region or destination at a group stand. And that also works from the other side too; the national or regional tourist organisation is there to help support you and can direct people to your company.
You’re a bigger team all working together to promote your destination and encourage business for all sub-exhibitors on the stand.
“People can get more information about Azerbaijan and our products, and we can find new partners interested in sending their guests to Azerbaijan. The main goal is to promote Azerbaijan. I would recommend exhibiting as part of a national stand.” – Pasha Travel, Azerbaijan
Get financial and organisational supportAs an international sub-exhibitor, exhibiting at MITT is far more accessible than exhibiting with your own stand. Your national or regional tourist organisation will offer financial, organisational, and often practical support to help you exhibit in Moscow.
This is invaluable for small and medium-sized companies who otherwise would not be able to provide the resource to exhibit in Russia.
“Everything is very well organised; thanks to Visit Norway I can participate in this event. If I were exhibiting alone without Visit Norway I wouldn’t be able to financially.” Uniktur, Norway
